Faith in Action β’ Protecting Lives β’ Serving Williamson County
Samaritans of Texas is a Christian nonprofit based in Williamson County, Texas, dedicated to preventing impaired driving, providing safe rides home, and supporting families in crisis.
We believe every life matters, every family deserves protection, and every community grows stronger when people step up for one another.
Our Mission
To save lives by reducing drunk and impaired driving, offering safe transportation alternatives, and supporting families with Christ-centered compassion.
Why We Exist
Every week in Williamson County, lives are changed forever by preventable crashes caused by alcohol or drug impairment.
Most people donβt plan to drive impaired β they simply donβt have a safe option.
Thatβs where Samaritans of Texas steps in.
We partner with bars, restaurants, churches, and local residents to bring real solutions that keep families safe.
Our Core Programs
π Safe Ride Texas Program (Uber + zTrip Partnership)
We help provide discounted or free rides home through Georgetownβs rideGTX program and local partners β reducing impaired driving before it starts.
Uber: Riders get up to 10 discounted rides/month (pay first $4; city subsidizes up to $10).
zTrip WAV: Unlimited discounted rides for wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
Trips must start & end in the Georgetown service area.
π No judgment. No questions. Just help.
π Impaired Driving Prevention Campaigns
We host Give Back Friday, Holiday Ride Safe Drives, and year-round community outreach designed to educate, protect, and inspire responsible choices.
β€οΈ Supporting Local Families
We deliver blessing bags, coordinate emergency support, and partner with churches to meet practical needs for families in our community.
Every gift, every share, every small act of service helps protect a family from tragedy.
